Description

This program will allow you to create and/or modify character Text Bubble Files.  These files contain the text to the speech played by a game character.  Importing of standard text files and exporting to standard text files are supported.

Requirements

Although you may create an Text Bubble File from the provided "blank" templates (by selecting NEW), you may also modify an existing file by extracting it from the NPC_DATA.SLF file or MERCEDT.SLF file.

Instructions

1. Select a New Text Bubble File or Open an Existing Text Bubble File.  These files have an extension of ".edt"
2. Click on any record to have it move to the editing field at the bottom of the window.
3. Alter the text as required and click the "Save" button before moving to a new record.  If you do not click the "Save" Button, the new information will be lost.
4. Import a file by selecting "File/Import" from the menu.  Find the text file and selection "Open".  Note: When creating a text file for import, include at least one blank line at the end of the file.
5. Export a file by selecting "File/Export" from the menu.  Name the new file and select "Save".  Note: If you try to access the file while the program is still running, you will only see part of the file.  Close the program first, then view the file.
